The book A History of Women in 101 Objects: A Walk Through Female History by German-French writer Annabelle Hirsch examines history through the objects that shaped women’s everyday lives and their place in society. Their stories show us that history is not made only on battlefields and in political institutions, but also in kitchens, laundry rooms, and other spaces traditionally associated with the female world.
